Comic #66 “Choke Out”
After a long weekend at the Baltimore Comic-Con, a tired but excited Monday hello from us at Dead of Summer.
We had a blast at the con, meeting various readers, hopefully making new ones, and meeting creators of the comics that we ourselves love. Shy of the hilarious fire evacuation early on Saturday, the con went great, and if you’ll indulge me, I’d like to send some thanks. Firstly, to our table neighbors, Getz-Calandra Productions, thanks for being good company over the weekend, I hope we didn’t bug ya’ll too much. Their comic looks great, I suggest you all check it out. Secondly, to Ross Nover of The Rockets, thanks for working the table with us on Saturday, always a pleasure to spend time with you. Another great comic everyone should be reading! And lastly, to our always reliable help, Mr. Michael Rodman, and our “lackey” Mike George, thanks for helping us make it through another con. Couldn’t have done it without you guys!
To any new readers from the con, thanks for checking us out! Hope you enjoyed the mini-comic, it’s just a taste of what we’ve done so far, and where we’re going. If you look to the right, there’s a link to the archive, as well as the first comic, so you can join the fun of the story thus far.
As a whole? We’re going kinda quiet to work on some really important projects coming up. Shy of the October 13th Art Opening and October 29th Art Closing shows at the Ottobar, Dead of Summer’ll be working on many things, but you really won’t be seeing us promoting the comic at a con until early next year. We really appreciate the support, and we’re incredibly enthusastic about what we’ll be delivering in 2007!
Another installment of DoS to come on Wednesday, we’ll see you then. Have a good week everyone!
