Comic #78 “Tumbling Down”

I guess the comic really has started it’s fall season.

….

Oh come on, that’s funny!  Hi all, welcome to Monday’s edition of the best comic made with crayons and duct tape, Dead of Summer.  We’re continuing the mad rush for Friday’s art show, as Nick has been busting his butt all weekend (and will continue this week) to bring you some totally rad stuff for the show.  For those of you who haven’t heard, it’s this Friday, 7pm, at the Ottobar, Upstairs.  A whole slue of artists, a whole bunch of good times, don’t miss out on the fun!

Besides all of that, I’ve been working on a few things to make Dead of Summer better for you, the reader. Based on the positive response to Friday’s page, I’m happy to say that future editions will be in the ‘larger’ format, giving you more of Nick’s great art, and more of my silly words to enjoy.  We’re also working on a newer, easier to navigate site, and I’ve been looking into a brand spanking new, larger format scanner, to make the transition from real art to page even quicker and easier.  All and all, we do it for you.

Monday’s ’song in your head day’, so I’ll be leaving you with that…in my case, it’s “The Catch” by Forget Cassettes.  Leave yours in the comments, and we’ll be back on Wednesday…provided the arrival of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon doesn’t absolutely kill our work-ethic. Which it might.
