Comic #106 “Euthanasia”

Christ, are we getting bleak or what?  The countdown to the shocking ending of Book One continues, as Ed and Nick end the decent of Matt into the zombie world…in a rather unconventional matter.

Point worth noting in today’s comic.  The middle panel, known lovingly here as the “zombievision” panel, was one of the original ideas discussed by Nick and myself roughly one year ago.  It’s interesting to see what ideas have or haven’t made it into the comic thus far, but I’m really pleased with the execution of this idea in particular.  As far as I know, it’s the first time in the world of zombie fiction that anyone’s attempted to give an idea of the ‘zombie’s eye view’ during the switch from human to undead, and props to Nick for visualizing it so well.  I’m sure I’m probably wrong on us being the first, but if any of you internet types find it and prove me wrong, a special gold star to you.

One thing you may also notice, is the removal of the forums from the sidebar.  As the traffic for the forums was never particularly high, we feel that it’s time for the forums to go on sabbatical, at least until the discussion in the comments section is large enough to warrant such a feedback forum.  In the meantime, feel free to bug us in the comments section, at the official DoS MySpace (linked on the right), or via e-mail.  We’re fun guys to talk to, I swear.

Back again in mid-week, for comic 107.

Monday’s song stuck in the head? The damn Charlie Brown Christmas theme.
