The final Dead of Summer update for 2006 is in the bag, and what a great freaking year it’s been.

What’s happened?

• Dead of Summer was launched April 7, 2006, with an awesome launch party/art show at the Ottobar
• We’ve completed 113 comics, not including one special con update and a bit of an artistic tiff.
• We’ve created great friendships in both the webcomics world and our local music/art community.
• We’ve exposed ourselves to our great audience, with over 38,000 hits already.
• We’ve created merch! (more on that soon…)

These are just some of the great things that we’ve been able to do in 2006 thanks to the launch of Dead of Summer, and 2007 will only bring better and greater things.

Which brings me to something we’ve been working on far, far too long…THE DEAD OF SUMMER MERCH STORE IS OPEN AND LIVE, RIGHT NOW. CLICK THIS SENTENCE TO BUY A PIECE OF AWESOME! The site is kinda temp for now, quite ugly, but the important part….it’s functional. We’ll be working on cleaning it up soon, but if you’ve wanted some of the con/show merch we’ve been talking about on the site, now is the time for you to be able to pick it up!

In other notes, last night we had the pleasure of being a part of the Callum Robbins Benefit Show at the Ottobar. A fun time was had by all, and we again thank Robby Lester of Assassinate Caesar! for letting us be a part of the festivities.
