Comic #135 “This is not my beautiful house. This is not my beautiful wife.”

Holy wow, our time at Katsucon was an absolute freaking BALL. Meeting so many talented people, meeting great readers (go figure, we have them), and making awesome new friendships, it was an incredible pleasure to have spent this weekend in the nations capital.

To the fine people at…(deep breath now) Applegeeks, Blue & Blond, Comedity, Conscrew, Dominic Deegan, Erfworld, Fragile Gravity, Hookie Dookie Panic, Onezumi.Com, Harknell.com, Staccato, and Morlock Enterprises, thank you all so much for being so incredibly hospitable, it was an immense pleasure to have shared the weekend with you. I hope we all run into each other again sooner rather than later. I’m sorry if I forgot anyone, it was a whirlwind weekend, and we’ll have to do it again! And yes, all of you reading should go to their sites.

A very special thanks to Ross Nover of the Rockets for being our general guide to DC this weekend, and to Gregory Wright who actually gave us the shot at Katsu in the first place.

Speaking of reading, to any new readers who picked up our flyers this weekend, or supported us by buying some merch, a huge thanks to you. It’s your support that help us get through the 2am deadlines, the moments of eating ramen to get merch made, and generally, make us want to continue doing this. You’re awesome. And if you’re just joining us, start from the top. We’ve got an archive to the right, as well as a link to the first comic, so you can get caught up JUST in time for the start of book two.

I’m very very happy to report we actually sold out of our entire stock of merch this weekend, so I’ll be updating soon when we have stuff for you to purchase back instock. I figure we’ll be refreshing t-shirts, pins, and more to go along with the release of Dead of Summer: Book One, coming this Spring.

    It was great meeting you guys this weekend, looking forward to the collected book in April. Always glad to meet more zombie fans, and at an anime convention at that!

    Love the shirt, wore it that day and got a few comments, going to toss the site off to some friends. Great stuff. Look forward to talking to you later, or seeing you at one of the zombie walks.

    I’d love to hit up Horrorfind, but I still have such a bad taste in my mouth from being denied to the art show because my art wasn’t “dark enough”, and found out later it was a personal vendetta against one of my old main models by the organizer.

    You guys totally have me hooked now, its in my daily short list of web comics to read. ^_^

    Ok, so I just read through Book One. All of it. In one sitting. I heard about the comic at Katsucon and decided I have to give it a read. I am thoroughly impressed. Thank you.
