Comic #2.1 “Monkey Brains”

After months of hype, here we are…Dead of Summer: Book Two.

Answers will be revealed! New questions will be asked! And we continue the journey launched just under one year ago on this here website.

As you can see, the intrigue starts early, with…simians? And new characters? What will it all mean? Stay locked on to the dot org for more, every Monday/Wednesday/Friday.

Now, onto some non-comic matters. It’s my sad duty to report that our big ol’ Dead of Summer One Year Extravaganza has been postponed, due to continued issues with finding a proper venue. We’re working on eventually being able to have the live show/art combination as we promised, but we continue to move forward with the Art Show scheduled at the Ottobar on April 7th.

With that said, Nick has sent along the early black and white art for the show poster, for your viewing pleasure. Once we have the colors/lettering done, we’ll post the updated version, but check it out to see how rad his raw inked work is. Really some great stuff.

Back on Friday for more zombie good times, see you then!

  3. grose Says:

i saw you drawing this. i tried to distract you. the food did a better job.

  4. Marty Says:

Irish Nachos simply hold sway over inking a monkey, I suppose.

  5. Ghostfreehood! Says:

The Irish Nachos were amazing. However, in no way do they hold sway over …INKING THE MONKEY!
Unless they are being served by a monkey who happens to be going to a sexy party. Then its fancy hats
bells and whistles. Lets be honest, who doesnt like fancy hats and whistles?

  6. soapboxdevil Says:

I’m getting a fairly disturbing visual of what INKING THE MONKEY might mean.

  7. Marty Says:

Little known fact, Peter Gabriel’s 1980’s hit “Shock the Monkey” was originally titled “Ink The Monkey”.

  8. Ghostfreehood! Says:

Regardless of one’s interpretation, in no way is it as creepy as that damned Burger King.
Unless the Burger King is… INKING THE MONKEY.

  9. Ghostfreehood! Says:

Apperently the Burger King was rumored to be at Katsucon.
    I missed him.

  10. grose Says:

  11. grose Says:
