What up, fine Dead of Summer readers?

A happy Wednesday to you. Some nice montage action to kick off the comic, with Nick and Alan getting ready to go supply hunting…but what exactly is Lydia talking about? Hrmm…

As a special treat today, I thought I’d give you an idea of how the average Dead of Summer page gets completed, with a walk through of our evening.

6:45pm - I get home from work, call Nick to see what the plans are for the evening. We, along with our good buddy Mike, head to Chili’s for some grub. Mike and I both destroy some Chicken Tacos, while Nick goes for the Black Bean Burger (with a side of broccoli).

8:00pm - We kill some time at Der Val*Mart, the best place in the world to equally feel better about yourself, while hating humanity.

9:00pm - Being the classy, classy ‘ballers’ that we are, we decide to fly high, and grab some delicious Slurpees from 7-Eleven. But not just ANY Slurpees, OH NO. Slurpees in LIMITED EDITION Spider-Man 3 Lenticular Cups! How hot are we, honestly?

9:30pm - Nick starts on the comic’s art, while I mess around on the internet.

11:30pm - Nick finishes the art, and heads home.

12:30am - Almost finished, I have a power surge in my basement. Causing me to have to restart with the lettering. This is why you constantly click ’save’, kids.

1:11am - Finished with the lettering, I write the days post, and publish the comic for all to mock…er…see.

DON’T FORGET! SATURDAY! We celebrate ONE YEAR of Dead of Summer with Marvelous Monsters at the Ottobar, and a very special show featuring Karmella’s Game and The Protomen at the LoFi Social Club! Nick has allowed me to photo one of the paintings he’ll be exhibiting on Saturday, the aptly titled ‘Pay Phone’. If art that awesome doesn’t make you want to come out…well, you’re boring.
