Alright, we’re still clearing dust, but the new DoS.org is ready and raring to go!
Just in time for the 2007 Convention Season, we’ve given DoS a new coat of paint, including a brand new logo and much much more.
What’s new on the new site? Let’s see.
We’re now running WordPress 2.2 and a customized version of ComicPress 2.0BE.
In addition to the comic, Nick and I both can post random blogs, so we can continue to bring the ‘entertainment’ with our various opinions on things in the world, and insight on the crap that matters (y’know, like useless pop culture). Further more, we can update from the road, with fun happenings/photos/etc from the cons that we do!
The Comments function is FIXED!
The Counter at the bottom is also fixed. It originally tallied all HITS. Now it tallies visitors. We broke 25,000…who’s going to be Mr. 30,000?!
A BRAND-NEW RSS feed , which features thumbnails of the comics as they post!
I’ve also added a PayPal donations button. We aren’t ASKING for your donations, but considering every webcomic and their brother has one (and a few people have suggested that we get one), I figured what the hell, we can’t say no to some extra scrill every now and then.
Things to come?
Our new online store, including our new Zombie March T-Shirt, reprints of the infamous ZOMBelieve t-shirt, the DoS pin set 2.0 (featuring the new logo), signed copies of both our 2006 and 2007 con posters, and YES, Dead of Summer: Book One will be available soon! (Currently targeted for a July release, just in time for Connecticon and Otakon).
Now, the next question is for you, our readers…
I’ve been giving some thought towards opening the forums back up again (with some stronger spam protection to stop the infamous spam bots from before). Are you interested in such a thing, or prefer to keep our comments in well..the comments section. Drop your thoughts in the comments to this post, I’d really like to hear it.
