Friday
Finally. I picked up the new Dimmu Borgir album. Nothing like symphonic black metal form Norway to get things going. The band, who’s name actually translates to “dark and foggy fortresses” in icelandic, released their first concept album entitled: In Sorte Diaboli. The story, which may continue on the follow up, is about a priest who discovers he has powers that lead him to the dark side through an awakening. The intro to the album reminds me of the Imperial March from Star Wars. Use your imagination and you have an awesome rock opera about Vader. From what I can tell, it works. I like this album.

Saturday
I had to work this Saturday. OVERTIME! Total hours last week? 52. Hell yeah. Managing a cafe can be a hassle but I did manage to go see Ratatouille which was awesome. Believe it or not it was the first time I had seen a Pixar film in the theatres. I think from now on I will be less of a loser and go see them on the big screen. I had a great time. For the scoop on Ratatouille, see the post below. It will give you the full effect on why us at DoS liked it so much.

Sunday
Father’s Day. Sunday I woke up early and went to visit my Pop. After all, we have him to thank for my love of the zombie culture. He would let me watch whatever I wanted to when I was younger. The first time I watched Dawn of the Dead I was probably about 4 or 5 years old. I would get really excited about the helicopter scene when the guys head would get chopped off. Oh man. What a great scene. It was always that and the Howling. I just couldn’t get enough. My love for Horror started young. My favorite though has always been Hellraiser. No matter how terrible they are now, I still love ‘em.
