Grizzly Bear?
September 7th, 2007 by Ghostfreehood!Oh yes. The acid folk, indie rock band known as Grizzly Bear will be headed to Baltimore on October 13th. Hey! I know it’s not next week or anything but it’s coming up. Just relax.
One reason I am excited about this show is the band has great music videos. They have talent too. Grizzly Bear uses traditional and electronic instrumentation, think tambourine to computer. It’s covered. Now, back to the videos. I know that it doesn’t make too much sense but hear me out. It might just be me but I think anyone else who grew up watching MTV (when they actually played music videos) really enjoys the enhancement that comes along with the audio-visual combo. Of course we can’t really rely on MTV for much of anything anymore but it had it’s moments. It’s great to recall those things sometimes in your concert going experience. I mean how many times have you seen Primus and not thought about their videos? Maybe while seeing Metallica, you turn to your friends during Unforgiven and do the old man shake at them. For me those two things have always gone hand in hand. It’s not necessary but it’s fun. Anyway. These videos are cool. Check out…Grizzly Bear!
