Saturday night here at the Ottobar, Peelander-Z had their DVD release party. It was awesome. Angry Zen Master: Jami Noguchi did an amazing print of Mad Tiger as a congratulatory gift for the band. Nice one Jami! Check it out here.

As for the show, I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. It took place in the upstairs bar which is cramped. There are couches all along the walls, tables, chairs and pool tables. On a busy night, it can be hard to walk through. Peelander-Z had no problem. They used the pool tables as personal stages to play on and it rocked. Due to the limited space in the bar, it was tough to get photos. I managed to take a couple keepers.

The DVD is great for any Peelander-Z fan. It has a few comedic skits that were filmed for the feature, one live show, karate girls, music videos, kaiju footage and more. Since it’s release about two weeks ago, I haven’t seen any retailers that are carrying this DVD.
