I believe the new Resident Evil film was appropriately titled. What a piece of stinky film making. Anyone who believes in a plot and character development will see the many flaws of this film. If dense development and vague dialog isn’t enough be prepared to see Resident Evil become the X-Men. Not everyone has evolved powers in the film but it’s a leap. The gore and effects are good but the editing is questionable. I kept wondering where things were coming from and what roles everyone had as characters. The mystery is what kept me in the seat it seems. Just make sure you yell: “JEAN!” in the appropriate places. You’ll see what I mean.

We should all be grateful we have Romero still at work. Someone needs to lead the blind. I know Resident Evil has it’s place among the genre. It’s not all Romero. However, it just felt like people stopped caring about this movie. It has a huge potential that was not utilized in the least. While it was fun to watch, just be prepared to possibly heckle it. There is a character named K-Mart for crying out loud. It just seems like they gave up.
