In what could be hands down one of the best arrangements of local talent ever seen over the course of one night, tonight, the Ottobar presents AVEC, for the release of their fantastic new album Lines.

In my opinion, one of 2007’s hands down best albums, period, Lines is an amazing journey of sound, showcasing AVEC’s trademark male versus female sound, pushed towards new levels, taking the band to heights unseen and unheard prior, wrapped around one of the most underrated rhythm sections going today.

If hearing those songs live (and getting a FREE copy of the CD) wasn’t reason enough for you to head to the Ottobar tonight, you also get the 3 pronged assault of Karmella’s Game, Two If By Sea, and Thrushes.

Together, these 4 bands represent some of the best Charm City has to offer, and you’d be hard pressed to find a better way to spend your Friday night. I know I’ll be there.
