It looks like the Wolverine movie is finally starting to get moving with solid news. According to Variety, the film is to be released Friday, May 1st 2009. That weekend has been reported to be the biggest movie going weekend of the summer. Shit, I’ll be there anyway. However it is the first weekend of summer, so you can see the connection.

The film is reported to have a Weapon X storyline with appearances from many mutants. I am really bummed that the Japan storyline will not be told but I can keep hope alive for the sequel I suppose. Just like any franchise, you have to make the money first, then you get the goods. X2 was triumphant in comparison to the first and the same with Spider-Man, I thought.

Anyway. Here’s to what will hopefully be a success and not end up in the shitter. I think it’s hard not to get your hopes up about this movie. We all want it so bad, regardless of how cautious you are with your feelings. Cheers!
