#16. The Skeleton Dance
Released in 1929, this Silly Symphony was the first animated cartoon to use non post-sync sound. Set to a foxtrot (ballroom dance) in a minor key, Carl Stalling suggested the idea originally as a gag. Joke or not, Disney celebrated in 1994 as it was voted #18 of the 50 Greatest Cartoons of all time by members of the animation field.
