Freddy ReMake
January 30th, 2008 by Ghostfreehood!Well, there comes a time where even the best in show will get copied. Halloween and Chainsaw were well…fucking terrible, in comparison to the originals. Pardon my french. Now when you take the wheel and want to reinvent it, your going to end up with the fucking wheel again. Except you can only change the appearance while the function must remain the same. I am already pissed off about this news.
Micheal Bay’s production company: Platinum Dunes will be working on this picture. PD is the same company that did Texas Chainsaw Massacre. So far there is no projected release year as of yet and no writers or directors but at this point it doesn’t matter. DON’T TOUCH FREDDY! LEAVE HIM THE HELL ALONE. I am not giving anyone the slightest amount of grace and forgiveness about this. Someone damn better well impress me with this remake. The last thing Freddy Kruger needs is to look grainy and over exposed by tons of emulsion (like Chainsaw) while “updated” days are played out by a cast of young, stupid asshole kids wearing the latest in preppy asshole gear drive a jeep and fall asleep because they were too distracted from their parents death (which happened years ago) while under some sort of new stress brought on by a high school teacher with an attitude.
The 1980’s and for whatever reason 1990’s are back in style anyway so character wise, they probably won’t look too different in appearance. Nothing good will come of this. Now all we need to do is find out that the Friday the 13th remake (which is also happening) is going to have a score by John Tesh and star Paris Hilton. You can’t remake the greats. You just can’t. They only get cheapened or ruined. It hasn’t been successful yet and it won’t. You are retarded Hollywood. Just fucking retarded.
Ugh. I am so pissed right now.

but wait, what about that awesome “transformers” movie he put out without ever watching the series? that was awesome! right………?

I liked Transformers. There’s a rich backstory in the comics and the cartoon series. Beast Wars surprised me because it was surprisingly deep and pulled a lot of inspiration from the Bible, of all places. There were a lot of hints that it was made to pander to the little kiddy demographic, but they did very well regardless.
On the other hand, it’s a series about giant robots beating the everloving shit out of eachother. The movie could stand to be mindless action, which makes Bay a good choice for director. I really hope the rumors for the sequel are true and we get the real Devastator.

Look,…this new freddy movie is a good thing. These new remakes keep the series going. Halloween was ok,…Chainsaw was pretty good…..Friday the 13th was my favorite of the series. Nightmare on Elm Street will be at least …decent. Quit b#%ching people.
