Hey there DoS readers (or, “Word up, Motherbitches” as our friend/table minder James just said), we’re set up and running here at Katsu ‘08, and I wanted to give you a heads up on some of the awesome events we’re a part of tomorrow.

Tomorrow morning, BRIGHT AND EARLY at 10am, we’ll be a part of the gigantohuge Webcomics Panel, which runs 2 hours in Live 1.

Later that afternoon, Nick and I both will be a part of this years Iron Artist competition. For the 7th year in a row, 2 teams of artists will battle using a randomly chosen ingredient…but only ONE team can be victorious.

For 2008, Iron Artist features a team of past victors, the well-versed and downright legendary Steve Bennett, along with Dead of Summer’s own, “Ghostfreehood” himself, Nick Borkowicz.

Their opponents? It doesn’t get much bigger than this…the clean line work of Dave Lister (of Paradox Lost), along with a good friend of ours here, the Angry Zen Master himself, Erfworld artist and Time Magazine award winning Jamie Noguchi.

Providing the duclet tones of commentary? Well, that’d be yours truly, and a man who has forgotten more about webcomics than I’ll ever know, Erfworld author, Rob Balder.

It should be a hell of an event.

And if you’re not sick of us by the end of that epic extravagnza, Rob and I will also be doing a panel on Graphic Novels as Webcomics, at 8pm.

The weekend is full of entertainment, and it’s just getting started, hopefully we can see you there! Until our next update (which I can’t promise won’t be drunk), this is me, signing off.
