As promised, this weekend brought about some exciting moves from us at Dead of Summer, none of which would’ve been possible without the amazing readership and friends we’ve made over the past 2 years of creating this comic.

First thing…upgrades!  We decided to take our merch funds and throw them directly into improving the comic.

The first of such upgrades goes to the purchase of a brand new large format scanner.  With an 11×17 scanning bed, we can scan the artwork at a higher rez without having to repiece it in Photoshop. This means better art quality, and faster page production for you!  We’ll also be adding on to our at-con table presence, but we’ll share that when everythings sorted on that end.

Also, I’m proud to announce we’ll be returning to two of our convention haunts from 2007 this year, as we’ll be guests of both Balticon this coming May, and Connecticon this August.  Thanks to Onezumi and Larom respectively for having us back, and we cannot wait to see you fans in person. Check the appearances page for more details.  We’re constantly looking for additional conventions to add to our circuit, so if you have any suggestions, or are from a convention that would like to have us, please don’t hestiate to let us know!

Finally, as for any orders, we’ll be shipping those out Tuesday, so if you’ve been backlogged, I apologize, but everything goes out this week!
