Coming straight out of Seattle, WA with their unique dance-rock sound, Minus the Bear has quietly become one of indie rock’s most solid bands. Growing out of the ashes of now defunct hardcore band Botch, MtB jumped onto the scene with 2001’s This Is What I Know About Being Gigantic EP, and they’ve had listeners hooked ever since. Currently on tour supporting their 2007 release Planet of Ice, they are one of the best live bands going today, with the must-be-seen-to-be-believed tap guitar work of lead guitarist Dave Knudson. Besides, how can you hate on a band with song titles like “MONKEY!!!KNIFE!!!FIGHT!!!”?

Sadly this not that song. Don’t fret though, Knights is still a great song. Be sure to catch Minus The Bear at Recher Theatre. Wednesday nights need a new pulse anyway. Might as well be here.
