I heard the zombie walk had an ad in the paper.
But it’s true, I didn’t really hear or see anything about it.

As for Hot Fuzz, I think I’m due for a viewing myself.
Sometime soon. I love the Wicker Man/Bad Boys ending.
It’s sooo tasty.

Shaun of the Dead will be in my possession today, and it will be watched at the very least sometime this weekend. Didn’t get a chance to pick it up yesterday because the wife was wanting to get home as quickly as possible. Today though, on my break, it gets purchasified.

I’d actually intended to show up for the Zombie Walk, but to take photos only. The missus and I had a Japanese class that ran until 3:30 or so, and I’d have loved to still trek up and catch it as it lurched towards its final destination. The problem is that the details of this year’s walk were so poorly communicated that I could not find anywhere online which place it would end up, and what route it would take to get there.

With threats of rain, I certainly didn’t want to randomly walk around Baltimore looking for zombies all day while the new DSLR gets soaked and broked. Communication was horrid all around for this year’s event. Either the oomph has run out or they need to get some more enthusiastic people involved.

Oh, and Marty, you give me too much credit. To give an example of the sort of quality I posess, I was born with a ‘MADE IN CHINA’ sticker on my ass. I’m pretty useless, really.

the zombie walk had a slightly smaller turnout than last year, but it was still a boat load of fun. one high point of the event: the manager and security guy from safeway coming out, asking us what was going on, then saying “Oh. Cool!”

not having seen shaun of the dead isn’t a punishable offense if you are generally sorry and trying to remedy the fact. kinda like peeing on a hobo.

aside from shaun of the dead and hot fuzz, also slide “run fatboy run” into your netflix queue (when it comes out on dvd). it looked like a slapstickish kind of comedy, but ended up being a very fun, endearing little indie-ish film.

on a side note, one should always try to find some kind of covering for his/her fingernails when applying copious amounts of theater blood, because not doing so will cause your coworkers to stare at you funny for a couple days after.
