Brian Pulido Meets Calabrese
May 29th, 2008 by Ghostfreehood!Like most Horror influenced kids in the 1990’s, Brian Pulido’s Evil Ernie was like a gift from the dark world itself. A delightful splatterfest, the sinister comic lead me through many a boring D.E.A.R (drop everything and read). DEAR was a mandatory 30 minutes of reading in middle school, which of course I didn’t mind. The teacher quit blabbing her mouth and I got to read comics. School can’t get much better.
So what’s Brian up to now? He’s making a movie titled The Graves. With a cast filled with Horror names like: Bill Mosley (Devil’s Rejects,) Tony Todd ( Candyman,) Amanda Wyss (Nightmare on Elm St. and Dexter,) and Randy Blythe the singer from Lamb of God, the movie already has my money no matter how bad it could wind up being. The plot involves two sisters who find themselves in a psychological battle between human and supernatural forces.
Calabrese, a Horror Punk Rock trio also appear in the film. This video is not from the film. However it’s got all the goods. Leather, Universal Monsters, Babes, a catchy tune and it was directed by Brian “Lady Death” Pulido himself. How’s that for a slice of fried gold?!
