Stay Away from The Strangers

What a piece crap this repulsive flick was. Such a huge let down. Live Tyler and Scott Speedman play a couple going through a hard time. Their relationship is on the rocks due to motives unclear but clearity isn’t the motive for this pictureplay at all. The Strangers is based off of a “true event”. An unsolved crime from, I think the late 70’s but the time is really not important. After what seemed to be about an hour of suspense and waiting for the masked tormentors to do something worth while, their actions still let you down. It’s almost like they want to scare their two victims to death. When you think about it, that should be a cool concept. Not here.

This film is basically the equivalent of a dramatic recreation for Unsolved Mysteries or Rescue 911. There is absolutely no closure at the end at all. No reason or rhyme for this movie to take place. Three murders and two victims, that’s it. I really liked how this was set up and it could have been something really worth wild. Like most Horror in Hollywood these days…it’s a serious let down. This should have stayed in the FBI files or wherever it came from.

The actors were all great. I don’t blame them from wanting an easy paycheck. Other than that benefit, it’s brought no greater good. I want my time and money back for this one.  Such a shame too.
