If you were lucky enough to be in the United Kingdom seeing Tool in 2007, there is a good chance you are already a fan of their opening act. They were a three piece instrumental rock/metal group called: Russian Circles. If not, then there is a good chance you might have heard of them anyway. They are from Chicago.

Russian Circles will be playing Ottobar on Monday , June 30th. The show is all ages. For fans of Mono, Pelican, Red Sparrows and Explosions in the Sky. RC have also opened for Minus the Bear, Chin Up Chin Up and Coheed and Cambria. I love bands like this. Sometimes all you need is the journey of the rock. The show is on a Monday so that kind of sucks. However, it is a freakin’ great way to start the week. I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
