Man, it’s just that time of year where the webcomics come out of the woodwork, isn’t it?
Or in other words, read these comics. They’re good times.
First things first, a long overdue plug for the webcomics debut of Ms. Ami Bogin, with the really fun and cute The Glass Urchin . We met Ami at Balticon (she’s a friend of Bree ), and it’s great to see her branching out onto the web with her own unique style and sense of humor. She’ll be going far.
Up next, our internet-brother-from-another-mother, Ross Nover has popped back up with the extremely funny The System . You’ll never look at a restroom sign the same way again. And look at that…consistent updates! Seriously, give this one a read. I think the internet will be all over it soon. You’ll be able to say…I read it first .
Lastly, but far from leastly…the infamous Brian Wilson is back. You know and love his work over at Hookie Dookie Panic, but now he’s thundering onto the internets with the unique fantasy tale…Geist Panik .
All these comics are worth a read, and can be accessed via our blogroll to the right.
I suppose now is a good time as any though, to open our bag of tricks a bit. We know, we mentioned that Dead of Summer will be ending come October 30th, 2008 . But what if we told you the next comic will be arriving before then? And it isn’t the previously mentioned Oh! Perilous World ?
Lets just say, if you see us at Connecticon (August 1-3) or Otakon (August 8-10), you can get the first peek at the next project from Nick and myself.
What’s it called? That’d be telling. The intials though? A F H S
This is completely unlike anything we’ve done before. If you have a hat hold onto it. If you don’t, buy one, and grip tight. We’re taking you there. To the comic promised land. Where nerd meets awesome, and awesome high fives oh-snap. Have fun speculating!
